The Cowboys are 8-1 this and preparing for a big test on Friday with the Colorado Buffaloes (5-3). While this Buff team isn't as strong as the 2010 squad that made the NIT this will be a great measuring stick for Pokes. The only loss for Wyoming came on the road at Green Bay and last year the Pokes didn't win a single road game. That will need to change if this team really wants to take the next step in their improvement.

It will also help give us an idea of how Wyoming compares to other Mountain West schools. Colorado has already faced Air Force and Colorado State this year. They defeated Air Force 76-73 on the road but lost to the Rams on the road 65-64.

Colorado is led by senior guard Carlon Brown who averages over 14 points a game. He is familar with Wyoming since played at Utah for three years before transferring to CU. At 6-5 215 lbs he could be a mismatch size against Wyoming. Andre Roberson is 6-7 210lbs but nearly averages a double double (9.7 points and 12 rebounds. F Austin Dufault averages 12/5 and is an athletic player.

Wyoming has proven that it's defense will be it's trademark this year. The Pokes are allowing just 49.3 points per game (3rd in the nation), 3pt % allowed (4th) and defensive field goal % is 35.4 (12th). It is truly amazing the turn around that Shyatt has done with this team. He has given them confidence and an identity.
