Awards for Wyoming/New Mexico Game

New coach, same result.  Winning in the Pit is always tough but the Pokes stayed close in this one.  They lost by 11 this was a much closer game than the final score indicates.  Just like the last two losses Wyoming kept this one close and held their opponent to below their season FG%.  Wyoming has had some a couple of players step up their games lately.  Fred Langley spread out the minutes a lot more than Schroyer did in conference play: Daylen Harrison saw 21 minutes and Joe Hudson played 17.  Hudson only had seen 33 minutes of court time in their previous 10 conference games.

Let's hand out some hardware!

Cowboy Joe:  Amath M'Baye scored the Cowboys first 11 points and finished with a team high 19.  He Wyoming an early lead and kept the Pokes close.  M'Baye has really shown a lot of improvement in his second year in Laramie.

Cowboy Low: Desmar Jackson fouled out in 16 minutes and finished with just 5 points.  Jackson has struggled the last two games with foul trouble and it has really effected his game.  When he picks up early fouls he get cautious and doesn't try to attack the basket.

Cowboy Foe:  Tony Snell and Drew Gordon.  They both played so well there was no way I could deny either one.  Snell hit five treys and led the Lobos with 19 points.  Gordon had a monster game with 16 points and 18 rebounds.  That is one impressive double double there.
