Wyoming F Amath M'Baye Transferring to Oklahoma
It appears that Amath M'Baye has made his decision and is taking his talents to Norman, OK. M'baye spent the weekend visiting the University of Oklahoma over the weekend and new coach Lon Kruger. They are familiar with each other since Kruger just left UNLV and had a chance to see M'Baye play in person the last two years.
Due to transfer rules M'Baye will sit out next year and will use his redshirt year, he will have two years of eligibility remaining. The fact that M'Baye is heading to a Big 12 school is impressive, Kruger's experience with him play a big role in the offer. There weren't any reports of other schools that M'Baye had visited earlier.
Teammates Desmar Jackson and Daylen Harrison have also decided they are transferring from Wyoming. Jackson has already declared that he is heading to Southern Illinois. No word on where Harrison is headed yet. The 2012-13 season will fun to watch to see how these players do on their new teams.
M'Baye had a breakout season this year and was the Pokes second leading scorer and top rebounder. We'll see what the Mountain West veterans can do in the Big 12.

What is going on here?
As an outsider looking in, I don’t understand why the three transfers? Are they all different reasons or is there some central issue? Can someone bring me up to speed here?

M'baye
I think M’baye would have transferred even without Schroyer being canned. It didn’t seem like he was having fun at all while he was there. Desmar is just scared that he’ll have to work hard with Shyatt being around.
PBJELLY and LAXWYO summed it up nicely.
There have been plenty of transfers for Wyoming fans to deal with the past four months.
