Wyoming made an offer on Tuesday to a very talented CB named Anthony Standifer out of Crete-Monee HS (IL). The 6-1 180lb Standifer now boasts a total of 24 offers that include schools from the Big East, Big 10, ACC, MAC and Mountain West. 24/7 has Standifer rated as a three star recruit and he received a rating of 87.
As a junior he totaled 44 tackles, 9 interceptions and one forced fumble. Obviously Standifer is receiving interest from plenty of larger programs and Wyoming is late in offering him. However there is at least one connection that may help the Cowboys standout. Current Poke Strong Safety Dylan McElveen went to the same high school at Standifer and was a senior when Standifer was a sophomore. Perhaps that relationship may help an official visit being setup.
Check out highlight video which is posted after the jump. It is honestly some of the best film I've seen on a cornerback that Wyoming has recruited in the last several years
He is strong, fast and has great vision when scanning the field. Really defends the ball well and keeps wide outs away. Could be a big time contributor to the Wyoming secondary right away.
