When athletics and music mix the results often vary from decent music to awfulness known as Shaq Bad.  A  Wyoming rap group called "Wyoming Chroniklez" created a song titled "Everybody Wanna Be A Cowboy".  It is a rap that also has elements of Western Thunder doing "Ragtime Joe" the C-O-W-B-O-Y-S cheer as the hook.  None of the artists are Wyoming football players but the group is based in Wyoming.  

Pretty impressive effort in my opinion.  They mix elements of Wyoming football and trash talk New Mexico and CSU without coming off as tacky.  If you're not a rap fan already then this song probably won't convert you.

The video is just the lyrics to the song so don't judge it on that.  It would be nice to have a version that is synced up to football highlights in the future. It gets pretty catchy the more you listen to it.  It will be interesting to see if the song is played at War Memorial at all during games.  The 2011 intro video hasn't been released and the song may be included with that as well.   We'll have to find that out in eight days.
