Wyoming Starting Safety Kenny Browder Arrested For DUI; Suspended Indefinitely
UPDATED AT 11:OO AM PST
Yesterday it was announced that three Wyoming players were suspended. The longest suspension went to junior safety Kenny Browder who received an "indefinite suspension" for a violation of team rules. That is most likely linked to his recent arrest. KWGN TV in Cheyenne is reporting that Browder was arrested early Sunday and booked into Albany County jail.
The Albany County Jail did confirm to NewsChannel 5 that at 12:41a.m., Browder was booked into the jail, the reason for the arrest was not given.
It has now come out that Kenny Browder was arrested for an alleged DUI and underage drinking. He was released on bond at 4a.m. Sunday. According to Eric Schmoldt his arraignment is set for September 12th. Browder won't turn 21 until May 16th, 2012.
He was projected to be the starting free safety for Wyoming this year. Last year he totaled eleven tackles in eleven games in a backup role. Luke Anderson will take over at free safety for the season opener against Weber State. The Cowboy are currently 11.5 point favorites over the Wildcats.
Colorado State had some similar news when two players were arrested over the weekend after a massive pool party. Lots of rouble for players on the Front Range recently which is not usually the case.

Why would anyone let this happen?
He’s clearly got a lot going for him. Assuming he’s on scholarship (I’m not sure, but assuming). I’m sure if he hadn’t been driving he probably wouldn’t have even gotten the underage drinking citation. With as small of a town as Laramie is, there had to be an alternative way for him to get home. I know there is saferide available for students even if noone could come and pick him up.
Very big mistake.
Can’t take a risk like that. Especially the week before the season starts.
