2012 F Austin Haldorson Verbally Commits to Wyoming

Austin Haldorson defends current Wyoming PG Riley Grabau

Wyoming basketball gained it's third commitment for the 2012 recruiting with some more local flavor.  After taking an official visit to Wyoming over Labor Day Weekend Austin Haldorson from Highlands Ranch HS (CO) verbally commited to Wyoming yesterday.  Haldoson a 6'9 190lb forward is ranked an 80 by ESPN and the eighth best prep player in Colorado.

After grabbing two guards with their first two commits Wyoming now adds much needed size to the 2012 class.  Of the five players that visited Wyoming over Labor Day weekend, three have now committed.  PG Josh Adams and SG Jason McManamen verbally committed right after visiting.  F Eric Mcree from Winter Park, FL ended up at Murray State while F Stephon Blair is still uncommitted.

Highlights of Haldorson are posted after the jump.

From watching the video it certainly looks like Haldorson positions himself well near the basket.  Does a nice job going for blocks and also scores inside well.  Also hows a nice touch when passing near the basket.

With two remaining scholarships Shyatt will be looking to recruit a true center.  The top two targets right now are 6-10 Matt Sellers who is currently at Western Wyoming CC and 6-10 Adam Lacey a prep player out of San Diego.  Both have official visits lined up for later this fall.
