Wyoming Hosting Several Recruits This Weekend

This is a busy weekend for recruiting for most schools and Wyoming is no different. I can confirm at least four athletes that are visiting this weekend. That group includes RB DJ May (Federal Way HS, WA), CB Jayshawn Jordan (O'Dea HS, WA), DE Sam Awrabi (Clovis East HS, CA) and RB Shaun Wick (St. Bonaventure HS, CA).

The first two were offered in December and it looks like they moved up the date of their visit to this weekend.

Sam Awrabi is rated three stars by Rivals with a 5.7 rating. He's been rated as the 39th best defensive end prospect and 66th overall from California. He is 6'3 240lbs and some see him playing linebacker at the next level. Washington State and Hawaii already offered. This certainly looks like the Tormey connection with him.

Check out the video highlights of Awrabi from his junior year. He doesn't just tackle people, he punishes them.

With the announcement of Alevester Alexander heading for the NFL it opened up a need for another running back. Wyoming offered Shaun Wick just a few days ago before he made the trip to Laramie.

Wick is 5-9 190lbs and has a two star rating from Scout. His other offers are from FCS Sacremento State and Northern Colorado. He also plays safety if he doesn't end up at running back.

Things certainly look like Wyoming will be landing at least one of these four recruits this weekend. DJ Maytweeted last night that he was having a great time in Laramie and was ready to commit on Saturday. Let's hope happens and that he is not alone.
