Larry Nance Jr.'s Dunk Tops Sportscenter Top 10

via assets.sbnation.com

So the second half against San Diego State didn't go the way that the Cowboys hoped in their 52-42 loss. Still the Cowboys hung close with the Aztecs in first half and were only down 25-22. The highlight of game and likely season was Larry Nance. Jr. doing a dunk that was a perfect silhouette of the Air Jordan "Jumpman" Logo. The dunk topped the Sportscenter Top 10 plays of the night and gave some nice exposure to the Wyoming program.

The bigger news for Wyoming would have been knocking off the #13 team in the country. That didn't happen as the Aztecs were able to hit plenty of shots in the second half. The Cowboys scored a season low 42 points and barely had much happening in the second half. Right now the Pokes are showing they are a good team but not quite ready to compete for 40 minutes with teams like New Mexico, San Diego State and UNLV. Without Derrious Gilmore in the lineup it makes it really hard for Wyoming to try and run the offense when JayDee Luster needs a break. Luster's played at least 34 minutes in the last four games. He is playing hard on both sides of the court and been very strong on defense.

Hopefully Gilmore can get himself eligible and Wyoming will be able to get back some of their depth. If you want to see a video of Nance's dunk it is posted after the jump.
