2013 OL Charles Renfree (Brophy HS, AZ) Commits To Wyoming After Weekend Visit

Troy Babbitt-US PRESSWIRE

The Cowboys have been very aggressive in recruiting help for the trenches. They added another quality addition this weekend.

Charle Renfree took the trip up to Laramie this weekend with several other recruits. After enjoying his visit and the team Renfree verbally committed to Wyoming. The 6'3 260lb tackle is not currently rated by Rivals but received a two star grade from Scout. He chose Wyoming over offers from Idaho and South Dakota. There was also interest from PAC 12 schools Arizona and Arizona State plus Big Sky Member Northern Arizona.

At 280lbs Renfree will greatly benefit for a redshirt year to build him his weight and strength in he weight room. The Pokes have plenty of depth available next year and will not have a need to rush him.

Here is some footage of Renfree from his 2011 season.

He certainly shows great movement and flexibility. He is able to stay in front of the pass rusher and keep them out of the pocket.

Wyoming had several current commits from Colorado take official visits this weekend. That is a great move to help bring in commits who can interact with other recruits. Give them a chance to connect and plan for the future. They all went to the basketball game and witnessed the huge win over Colorado.

Other undecided recruits who visited were LB Jake Hanks from Fort Collins who is deciding between UW and Tulsa. RB Omar Stover from Bollingbrook, IL was also in attendance.

Wyoming is currently at 10 commits for the year and five of those are offensive linemen.

There will be several other recruits this weekend. One of those is safety Xavier Lewis from Eaglecrest HS in Colorado. He is deciding between Air Force and Wyoming. Lewis has said that he is very high on Wyoming and I would not be surprised to see him to commit after making his visit.
