This week the University of Wyoming released their 2012 Football Prospectus. In case you are unaware of what exactly the prospectus is then let us sum it up for you: 66 glorious pages dedicated to helping you get ready for the season and cover ever single that for every play from the 2011 season.
It is something you should certainly browse through at least a couple times over the next few months leading up to the season.
The biggest news items included in the prospectus are regarding future football schedules. The University never released a press release about the final non-conference game in 2013 being finalized but it is listed here.
Then FBSchedules.com used a sharp eye to discover that the dates of the home and home series with Oregon have been adjusted.
Here is the new schedule breakdown:
2013
9/13 - Wyoming Vs Northern Colorado
2014
9/06 - Wyoming At Oregon
2017
9/16 - Wyoming Vs Oregon
The 2013 schedule is basically complete with Northern Colorado filling the final open non-conference game. The Cowboys start 2013 on the road in Lincoln, Nebraska and then host Idaho, UNC and Texas State. That certainly looks like a very favorable schedule after the opener. Seven home games will certainly help make things easier.
The 2014 trip to Eugene had been set for the 20th but was moved up two weeks to the 6th. That should be the second week of the season as Labor Day falls on September 1st in 2014. Hopefully Wyoming will schedule a home game for the season opener. Would be rough starting the year off with two road games.
Originally the return game for the Ducks in Laramie was set for 2015. For some reason it was pushed back two years to 2017. I wonder big a crowd Oregon will bring to the 2017 game.
BE SURE TO UPDATE YOUR 2017 HOTEL RESERVATIONS ACCORDINGLY!
