Wyoming Updates Future Schedules With Michigan State, Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan

We knew that Wyoming and Michigan had been working a game in 2014. That was finally made official today with a couple other series added in as well. The Cowboys will face the Spartans on September 20, 2014. The surprising news was a home and home series with MAC members Northern Illinois and Eastern Michigan. Wyoming has never played either of these teams before.

In 2015 Wyoming will host EMU on September 19th and then travel to Dekalb, IL the following weekend. In 2016 Wyoming will start the season with NIU on September 3rd, then travel to Ypsilanti, MI on September 24th. I'm fan of these MAC games. Wyoming has had good success against MAC opponents and it's a fairly equal playing field. Cowboys fans on the east coast also enjoy the chance to see a Wyoming road game easily. I have tons of friends in Illinois and will probably use it as an excuse to head to the NIU game myself.

The Huskies have posted back to back 11-3 records and will provide a good challenge for Wyoming. In contrast Eastern has been one of the bottom feeders in the MAC for awhile. They did finish 6-6 last year, perhaps they are getting things turned out. Plenty can happen in the three years before these games take place.

Wyoming will earn a $1M payday for their trip to East Lansing. The money helps because that is going to a brutal schedule in 2014. The Pokes will travel to both Oregon and Michigan State in 14, they will host Florida Atlantic and it is rumored they will add FCS Montana to fill out the schedule.

We now have a better idea of the future schedules. There are least three games scheduled through 2016. All of the confirmed games are posted below. What do you think think of these future schedules? Like the two MAC teams that were added? Let us know.
