This is another week of interesting games in the Mountain West. MWC teams face another slew of BCS opponents. Air Force will take on Brady Hoke and the Wolverines. Nevada hosts South Florida and New Mexico travel to Texas. Fresno State puts their high powered offense to the test against Oregon.
Colorado State hosts #1 ranked FCS North Dakota State and they will be without starting RB Chris Nwoke. That looks to be a very close game to me.
In our Pick Em' Contest we had one contestant get off to a perfect start. Congrats to Beach Poke. Here is the leaderboard after week one.

After the jump our panel gives their predictions for the Wyoming - Toledo game.
Wyoming vs Toledo: 42-38 Cowboys.
Poke Pick: Brett Smith. Until someone steps up and helps take the load off of his shoulders, Brett Smith is going to carry this team to victory. He needs more performances like Saturday from Robert Herron and Chris McNeill and the rushing attack has to find a way to be effective. Until those things happen Smith will be the offensive player of the game. The first quarter vs Texas showed how versatile this offense can be with Smith is operating at a high level and the players around him make plays.
As far as Toledo goes, this is probably going to be an old school WAC shootout. I don't know that either defense will contain the other and I expect a lot of points to be posted. In last year's Military Bowl Toledo and Air Force got after each other and put up a combined 83 points. Last week against Arizona the Rockets didn't put up a lot of points or a lot of offense but that is a team that can do both in a hurry if you sleep on them. Should be a pretty exciting game, but in the end, I think the Cowboys will win the home opener.
Poke Pick: WR Robert Herron - He convinced me last week he's going to have some monster games this season with blazing speed and Toledo seems like the next apparent big game.
Wyoming 42 Toledo 21: I think this is hands down the best Christensen team. Accumalation of four years of recruiting classes and strengthening the foundation of program is going to start reaping benefits. Toledo is a good team but is making their second trip out to west in consecutive weeks. Laramie has always been a tough place to play for east coast teams.
Matt Hargleroad - Cowboy Altitude
Pokes Pick: S Luke Ruff. As a senior captain and leader of the secondary Luke Ruff is a vital part of the Cowboy defense. He had some issues in the opener against Texas. I don't expect that trend to continue against Toledo. Ruff will show this Saturday why he is such an important part of the Wyoming defense.
Wyoming 45 Toledo 28
The Rockets gave up 642 yards against Arizona. I don't think Wyoming will equal that number, but they should have some more success in finding the end zone. If the Cowboys can fix their 3rd down conversion issues this should end up a big win for the Cowboys and get the momentum started towards a big season. The pass coverage last week was good (especially Blair Burns) they will be able to keep Toledo from putting up lots of points.
Poke Pick: Brett SmithLook for Brett Smith to have a huge game against a Toledo team that can put some points on the board. Smith took it hard throwing two picks against Texas last week and will be looking to make up for those mistakes and his making up will be against the Rockets. Toledo is coming to Laramie at the wrong time, Wyoming proved last week against Texas they are headed in the right direction take those two interceptions Smith threw away that turned into Texas TD's and we have a six pint game. I picked the score to be 34 to 24 but don't be surprised if Smith leads The Pokes to a higher score.
