Wyoming already had three junior college transfers sign and set to start classes this month. Now they can add a fourth name to that list. J.D. Krill is a 6-6 250lb tight end out of Saddleback CC in Mission Viejo, CA. He visited Laramie this weekend and decided that he wanted to continue his playing days as a Cowboy and signed on Sunday. Krill has completed his classwork at Saddleback and is able to enroll next week when classes start for spring semester.
The three star tight end was originally committed to UConn in December but things didn't work out. Their loss is a big gain for the Pokes who have been targeting a big tight end for a couple years and finally landed one. Krill is not a big receiving threat but it is going utilized more for run blocking and pass protection. He only caught fifteen passes in two years at Saddleback. He can catch the ball but Wyoming is really looking for someone who can add some size on the line and get down field.
Krill should add another dimension to the offense and the best thing is we can see what type of difference he can provide in spring practice. Well actually the best thing is his Movember mustache which is impossible not to stare at.
Check out his highlights from his freshmen year at Saddleback.
Wyoming sits at 16 commitments for the 2013 class. They are projected to sign 23 athletes in the upcoming class.
