The undefeated and now ranked Pokes will look to continue their dominance into league play.
The talk all year has been about how hard conference play is going to be in the Mountain West this year. Now we finally get to see how tough that will actually be. 13-0 Wyoming who is newly ranked will host the 12-2 Boise State Broncos tonight in the AA.
Wyoming will still be without Luke Martinez. It was reported that the Martinez was involved in the a fight at the Buckhorn at 2am. No charges have been filed and Luke is not suspended from the team. Some Ram fans at Always Sonny had some fun with the incident and captured some footage of the tussle.
Nicely done Sheep. I love the look on Craig Thompson's face.
With Boise State and Wyoming it will be two teams with contrasting styles. The Broncos are an outside shooting team while Wyoming goes with more of an inside game. Despite losing Martinez the Pokes are currently four point favorites.
Boise features three scorers in double figures. Derrick Marks (16.5), Anthony Drmic (15.4) and Jeff Elorriaga (11.5) are the leading scorers for the Broncos. Drmic and Elorriaga are the two three point shooting threats. Ryan Watkins is also important to watch as he averages 9 points per game and leads the team with 7.2 rebounds per game.
Boise has shown great improvement in their second year in the Mountain West. Their biggest victory was knocking #11 Creighton on the road. Their two losses have come to #15 Michigan State on the road and a 21 point road loss to Utah. So if their is one weakness the Broncos it may have is road games. The Utes are only 8-6 and they still lost by 21 .
