Coach Shyatt wants YOU to buy basketball season tickets. Why have you not purchased season tickets yet? What the hell are you waiting for?
SB Nation is inducting members to it's first College Football Hall of Fame. Cowboy Altitude nominated Wyoming great WR Marcus Harris and now he needs your vote. He is going against some stiff competition of players that had big NFL careers. This is based on the college career and his resume is superb. So vote now, vote often and share the link with any other Wyoming sites/message board. ROCK THE VOTE!!!!!!
Another notch in the belt for Wyoming.
He was a JUCO OL recruit that signed with Wyoming and enrolled in the spring of 2010. He was impressive in spring drills and then left unexpectedly. From what I heard he didn't want to play football anymore. Guess that isn't the case since he is a starter for Kansas State.
The NBA Draft featuring Nintendo characters. I love this video. Another fine production from the SB Nation crew.
UW Senior Associate AD Kevin McKinney did an interview on KFBC this afternoon and a big topic was additional football games being broadcast this year. He says it is likely that most of the conference home games will be picked up and they are in negotiations with regional stations like Root Sports and Altitude. McKinney expected broadcast times and channels to be finalized by late June or early July. Click on the link for the full interview. It will only be posted for a couple days as they don't keep an archive of audio interviews. The home conference games are: Boise State, CSU, Air Force and San Diego State. Boise is already set for CBS Sports. Hope they can televise all three remaining conference games and make something work with Toledo. Missing the Cal Poly game wouldn't be the end of the world. For road games it is up to the host team to work out broadcast deals.
A little congressional smack talk between Rep. Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) and Rep. Pete Olson (R-TX) in this video back from 2009. Lummis really needs to step up her game. Her entire argument was based on what other Mountain West teams did against the Big 12.. Did she turn the turn Hook Em Horns into the Dr. Evil finger?
Wyoming residents really don't like Lebron. Courtesy of Sports Pickle.
The MTN will be signing off tonight at midnight. This final segment was really hard to watch. Mountain West fans were spoiled by having every home football game and every conference basketball broadcast. It certainly wasn't a perfect station but it gave millions of fans a chance to see their teams games that otherwise never would have been televised. Now we venture forward with an unknown TV schedule. Currently Wyoming only has one national broadcast for 2012. It will now be up to regional stations to step up and try and pick up some of those games. Thanks to everyone at The MTN for their fantastic coverage of the Cowboys over these last six years. Here is a great piece by Frank Schwab on the end of the MTN.
SB Nation did this great video of armed forces members sharing some of their most memorable sport moments while they were deployed. Please don't forget those that have served this country on Memorial Day.
