College Football
Our Preaseason 2012 BlogPoll Ballot
Are you wondering what that picture has to do with college football? Well actually, it has absolutely nothing at all. I simply looked up "2012" in the picture search and the mascots for the 2012 London Olympics popped up. Why must they always make Olympic mascots so abstract and unrealistic. If these creatures were real and competing in the Olympics, they would be awful because they have no depth perception. Their names are Wenlock and Mandeville if you were curious. They will be terrorizing your children's dreams this summer!
Preseason college football polls in January make about as much sense as Olympic mascots. That is why I utilized a very scientific method for determining my group of Top 25 teams. I call it "reverse alphabetical". That just happens to work out so that Wyoming ends up at the #1 spot. If you have a solid grasp of the alphabet and college football teams then you can probably figure the next 24 teams.
Texas State and UT-San Antonio haven't been added to the list of available teams yet. Technically they should have made the cut since they will be playing FBS football in the WAC starting this fall. This will be the only time this method is used to determine our vote.
Our Final BlogPoll 25 Ballot For 2011
With the 2011 college football season now in the books there time to do one final BlogPoll. I didn't do a great job of voting in the BlogPoll later in the season but still wanted to voice my opinion on the final rankings. My entire ballot is posted after the jump. Feel free to blast me for any and all rankings.
Alabama is #1 which is not a big surprise. I slide Oklahoma State past LSU based on the awful performance by the Tigers in the so called "national championship". I had USC down to 14 simply because other teams gained or lost spots based on their bowl performance. USC should not be rewarded for missing the post season due to NCAA sanctions and moving up after other teams lost. A total of five Non-AQ schools made my Top 25.
Preview: The 103rd Border War
Wyoming looks to lock up a third straight Border War victory and an eight win season this weekend. The Pokes are facing a Ram that appears to be hitting rock bottom after a downward spirialing season. Injuries have taken a huge toll on the Rams and with the losses mounting it increased the pressure on fourth year coach Steve Fairchild.
The defense for the sheep was stout to start the year but has softened over time. Then starting QB Pete Thomas was injured and Fairchild burned the redshirt of Garrett Grayson to cover that position. Thomas is unlikely to play this week and we'll see Grayson get his third straight start. He is much more mobile then Thomas but his passing is not as polished. If there is one this Ram team can do it is run the ball. Chris Nwoke finally became the featured back and has responded with an impressive season. Currently he has 1,115 yards rushing and nine touchdowns.
Our Week 11 BlogPoll Ballot!
Here is our most recent BlogPoll ballot and I bet you'll never guess who is #1. Not in a million years will you get it. Or you'll probably pick it on the first try. Alabama moved down to #5 and Nebraska and Michigan both took really big hits for their losses. I snuck TCU back in at #25 this week.

Our Week 10 Blog Poll Ballot
Our latest BlogPoll ballot is now available for you assessment. Our top five stays the same from last week. Then we have plenty of jostling in the middle of the ballot. Kansas State took a big tumble while Nebraska regained some spots.
I am showing the non AQ's plenty of love this week. Boise is still third, Houston is 15, Southern Miss moved up to 20. Oh and a certain 5-2 team made their debut in the poll this week at 25. Let's hope they stay in the poll going forward.

Our Week 9 BlogPoll Ballot
Here is our latest ballot for the BlogPoll. We missed the deadline last week so that is why it doesn't show the previous weeks rankings. Obviously had to switch several of the top teams and was finally able to get Boise back into the top three. Houston is the next highest non AQ team on my ballot. Southern Miss makes their debut for me and Louisiana dropped out after their loss.
West Virginia was knocked out of the top 25 but Cincinnati saved the Big East from not having any teams in the top 25.

Our BlogPoll Ballot For Week 7
Well finished our ballot for the BlogPoll and it is posted after the jump. I'll hit on a few of my picks here. Feel free to let me know your thoughts on where I placed teams. Not a ton of movement here for the top 10 teams, just some jostling to spice things up a bit. Arizona State made a big move up five spots thsi week. Even though Washington had a bye I think the team is headed in the right direction and welcomed the Huskies to my Top 25.
SMU moved up a couple spots this week as well. Since they are off to a 5-1 start I decided to add Louisiana-Lafeyette in at the 25 spot. Hopefully that doesn't curse them it did for Florida International.
Our Week 6 BlogPoll Ballot
Just entered my week 6 six ballot for the BlogPoll. This week was a little tougher since I didn't get to see any games because I was on the road all weekend. Saw a few highlights but mostly I went off box scores. My full ballot is posted after the jump but I'll explain my votes here. I refused to put any two loss team in Top 25 so Texas A&M and Florida State are out this week. They did lose to good teams but there are so many teams with better records right now that deserve the recognition.
My top seven all stayed the same because I've had Wisconsin ranked highly the entire time. Michigan and Georgia Tech got big jumps after improving to 5-0 in big fashion. I was kind of late adding them to my poll initially. Two teams that make their first appearances in my poll are Kansas State and SMU. The Wildcats snuck up on me with their 5-0 record and their win over Baylor finally got them in my top 25. The Mustangs finally beat rival TCU and they did it on the road.
