This comes from the Honolulu Star Advertiser. Mountain West officials are meeting on December 10th to discuss expansion while the Big West will consider applicants on December 8th. Hawaii would join the Mountain in football only and move the rest of it's sports to the California based Big West. Thanks Santa!

Graham Watson thinks it may be possible and this could be the ultimate "screw you" in the year long WAC/MWC battle. Only thing that could stop it from happening would be the WAC travel costs. Flying all those revenue losing sports to Hawaii would be killer. Having Louisiana Tech, Texas State and UT San Antonio nearby would be an improvement over the Mountain West.
