Hoops drop game two in tourney

The Cowboys dropped their second game in the World Vision Challenge to the Hampton Pirates 78-67. The Cowboys gave a clinic on the term 'poor shooting'. As a team the Cowboys were 20/59 from the field, 1/21 from 3pt range and 26/35 from the charity stripe.

The previously winless Pirates improved to 1-5. Vincent Simpson went off for 34 points to lead all scorers.

Djibril Thiam was the only Cowboy to have a solid shooting game going 6 of 8 from the field and making all 8 of his free throw attempts for 20 points. Boubacar Syalla had his best game as Cowboy putting up 4 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. The Pokes only got 2 points from the bench.

Next up the Cowboys face Pepperdine in the tournament finale.

Cowboy Joe: Thiam was solid putting up 20/7.

Cowboy Low: The Cowboy bench was 0 for 18 from the field. Hard to win many games that way.

Cowboy Foe: Simpson torched the Cowboys for 34 points.
