The recruiting blitzkrieg continues as Wyoming has landed nine recruits in less than a week and now sit at 20 commitments for 2011. The latest addition is WR/DB Demarius Reed out Simeon HS in Chicago, IL. He visited Laramie early in December and after considering his other offers committed to Wyoming. The Pokes offered Reed back in the spring and it's great to see him end up a Cowboy after the lengthy recruiting process.
Reed was considering offers from Eastern Michigan and Memphis besides Wyoming. Other schools that offered Reed include: Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Western Kentucky and a couple FCS schools. Glad he decided to head West of the Mississippi instead of choosing a MAC school.
Reed is rated three stars by ESPN and two stars by Rivals. At 5-10 155 Reed is a little small but he is very agile and aggressive on the field. His 40 time is posted as 4.5 and he is very quick with the ball. The Pokes are recruiting him as a WR or a DB. He can obviously play both positions but I like what does on offense. Also has experience with kick and punt returns.
