Wyoming Cowboys Road Trip!

New, 3 comments

Road trippin' with my two favorite allies
Fully loaded we got snacks and supplies
It's time to leave this town
It's time to steal away
Let's go get lost
Anywhere in the U.S.A.

- Red Hot Chili Peppers "Road Trippin"

The Wyoming Cowboys are packing their bags and so are their fans for a big trip down to the heart of Texas this weekend. There is a lot of excitement for this first road game and Wyoming fans quickly bought up their entire allotment of tickets for the UT game.

This got me thinking about the rest of the road games and what reason there would be to visit each of these cities. A case can be made for every game so here it goes. Please vote in the poll for the game you would choose to attend.

9/11 @ Texas Longhorns - Cool city, cool music, huge stadium. If you don't like the rest of Texas then would probably still like Austin since it is truly a great college town with a vibrant cultural scene. And there football team isn't too shabby.

Why not to go? - You may go home disappointed if you are hoping for a Wyoming victory.

10/2 @ Toledo Rockets - The Rockets have a high powered offense and a terrible defense so it should be a high scoring game. They play in the Glass Bowl! You can checkout the stadiumfor the AAA Toledo Mud Hens. The art museum has free admission for your cheap ass. Cedar Point Amusement Park is the best in the country - 16 roller coasters!

Why not to go? - You're half way between Detroit and Cleveland. There is no direct flight from Denver. Traveling two time zones over will mess up your digestive system and you'll be constipated the whole trip.

10/9 @ TCU Horned Frogs - The Horned Frogs have a better chance at playing in the National Championship then Texas, ha. No dirty hippies in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. You can help the Horned Frogs boost their attendance figures. They named the city after that show "Dallas"... :)

Why not to go? - You really hate the color purple and when the Cowboys lose.

10/23 @ BYU Cougars - Remember all those mean nasty things that you said when you heard that BYU was going independent? While now you can tell them in person! Gotta love that Tabernacle Choir.

Why not to go? - You'll need bring your own beer, the night life will be limited and you don't want to support the coffers of BYU by buying a ticket or even a bottle of water.

11/06 @ New Mexico Lobos- You can relive all those great memories from the 2009 New Mexico Bowl. Great chance for a beatdown to occur and to witness the "Wild Crum" formation in person. Mike Locksley may be fired before this game is played.

Why not to go?- Watching the Lobos play may be categorized as "cruel and unusual" punishment.

11/13 @ UNLV Rebels- It's Vegas baby! This could be a huge game for the Pokes in order to become bowl eligible. You may wake up and find out you got married to a complete stranger. Finally time to show what all those endless hours of Internet poker has done for you game.

Why not to go? Your wife is going to be pissed when she finds out you got married to someone else. You lose your life savings or end up stuck on top of a hotel roof by your friend who watched the Hangover way too many times.
