Looks like the 2011 Wyoming recruiting class is back to 24 members now. The Tulsa World is reporting that Gary Lee 6-5 285lbs has committed to his hometown Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Lee originally verbaled to Wyoming on Monday.
"I decided (Wyoming) wasn't for me," Lee said, adding proximity was a big factor. "Tulsa is a program that is moving up, and we're going to keep it that way."
Lee met with defensive coordinator Brent Guy and offensive line coach Denver Johnson on Tuesday and called head coach Bill Blankenship with his decision on Thursday.
Lee said that informing the Wyoming staff of his change of heart "was one of the hardest calls that I had to make."
Lee was rated two stars by Rivals and was the only defensive tackle in this recruiting class. Last week the Cowboys also lost DB Demarius Reed from Chicago who decided he wanted to go school in the Midwest. Can't blame someone for wanting to be closer to their family but it would have been great to have Lee and Reed as Cowboys.
There is a prep DB recruit expected to be on campus this weekend. Don't have any names but will post a story if/when he commits.
