With impressive play Biezuns earns MWC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

Laramie, WY – Two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery is a game any defensive player on any football team in America will take.  Wyoming senior defensive tackle Josh Biezuns did just that and also blocked an extra point try with 3-seconds to go against the Bowling Green Falcons. Those stats and his impressive overall play has earned Biezuns the Mountain West Conference Co-Defensive Player of the week.

The blocked kick that Biezuns shared with fellow Cowboy and senior defensive lineman Gabe Knapton preserved a 28-27 win over the Falcons and improved the Cowboys to 3-0, a record they have not had since 1996.

The defensive player of the week award is the second for Biezuns who also won the award the final week of the2010 season after the Colorado State game.

He shares the award this week with San Diego State defensive back Larry Parker.
