In the Wyoming post game press release they included an update on Brett Smith.
Smith was taken to Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie and after the game Wyoming head coach Dave Christensen informed media that reports from team doctors were all positive, and Smith was alert and was on his feet walking. All preliminary tests administered to Smith were positive.
Brett's father thanked everyone on twitter and also said that Brett was doing well.
Thx everyone for the thoughts and prayers. Brett has a headache but he will be fine. Pissed he didn't score on the play.#gowyo #thebestfans

This is great news. I'm not expecting him to play next weekend if he suffered a concussion. The main thing is he is healthy and didn't suffer a serious injury. This helps put a positive note on a tough day for Cowboy fans. It has been a rough day for almost the entire Mountain West.
